Active Listenting

“Being heard is so close to being loved that for the average person, they are almost indistinguishable.” Often when we are in a conversation with a person, especially a heated one, our main concern is to get our point out and heard. When we neglect to actively listen to the other person, we are often thwarting the conversation. In addition, trying to truly listen to someone can demonstrate our care for them, as we work to put ourselves aside, in order to fully understand their point of view.
